Board Reviews Police Report

Members of the Oacoma Town Board reviewed the fourth quarter police report and approved permits when the group met Monday, Jan. 20, in Meeting Room #2 of the community center in Oacoma.
The board offered time for public comment pursuant to South Dakota Codified Law 1-25-1. As no comments were made, the board proceeded to the next item.
Chamberlain City Police Sergeant Catland Landegent was in attendance to present the fourth quarter police report for Oacoma. The sergeant commented 35 case reports had been generated in total. Fourteen warnings and 15 violations were reported as five for speeding, two for stop sign, one for stop before entry, two headlight failures, one unsafe lane change, one driving on the wrong side of the road, one failure to yield for an emergency vehicle, one replacement of window with material other than safety glass and one open container of alcohol.
