Members of the Oacoma Town Board approved plats and set hearing dates when the group met Monday, Aug. 17, in Meeting Room #1 of the community center in Oacoma.
A 2021 budget request for Cozard Memorial Library was first considered. Library Director Melissa Hutmacher was present to address the board and request funding in the amount of $18,000.
“The library is definitely different right now than what it has been in a long time,” she said. “Right now, our doors are open but we are not allowing anyone in under 18 without a parent for safety reasons. My heart breaks for after school stuff right now but we just don’t have any way to keep it safe.”
