Board plans for Hometown Holiday, fall, winter activities

Members of the board of directors of the Kimball Chamber Chatter discussed plans for the Hometown Holiday event as well as fall and winter activities when the group met Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Soak ’n Suds in Kimball.
Treasurer Jesslon Walsh presented her report, touching on the passerby fund and presenting two bills for motels that were used by that fund. Board consensus was to check further into the use of the passerby fund.
Anita Holan gave the development report, noting following a meeting, plans are to look for a manager for a proposed locker plant in Kimball. An Empower meeting was held with themes of having the community be involved and instilling community pride. Holan has also been working with COVID funding through her role as economic development director for the City of Kimball.
