City of Kimball –
Delegates present requests, board works on budget

Delegates presented requests and members of the Kimball City Council worked on budgets when the group met Monday, Aug. 3, at the finance office in Kimball.
Mayor Wayne Tupper announced during the review of the finance reports, “Sales tax continues to roll along.” The financial reports were approved upon roll call vote.
Employee reports were presented, with Economic Marketing Director Anita Holan covering five years as economic marketing director for Kimball, Clear Lake and DeSmet First Impression Tours, feasibility study for the start-up of a locker in Kimball, housing, South Dakota COVID Recovery Fund, water meter information and the state water plan, Backyard Grill event on Sept. 26, Empower meeting on Sept. 10, District III meeting on Aug. 26 in Mitchell and Dakota Resource Gathering in September in Custer.
The economic marketing director also talked about financing available through Areawide Business Council.
