Chamberlain Board of Education –
Board congratulates instructor, adopts policies, discusses designation

Congratulations was issued to Instructor Carissa VanderLey on receiving the 2020 South Dakota State History Teacher of the Year designation from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History at the Chamberlain School District #7-1 board of education meeting Monday, Sept. 14.
The group met in the middle/high school media center at the school in Chamberlain.
VanderLey noted she was nominated by a colleague. She will have the first chance at attending a Gilder Lehrman Institute next summer or thereafter depending upon COVID.
