Superintendent outlines start of school, counselor shares concerns

Chamberlain School Superintendent Dr. Justin Zajic outlined the start of school policy and a counselor within the district shared concerns to members of the board of education when the group met Monday, July 27, at the middle/high school library in Chamberlain.
The consent agenda included the board minutes, financial reports and personnel, which listed the resignation of Garry Winter as head cross country coach and the hiring of Holly Evans as head cross country coach at $3,426 and Ron LaMie as assistant football coach at $2,960. Board Member Annette Priebe cast the lone nay vote.
Prior to public commentary, Board President Keith Reuer read a statement in regards to taking comments from the public and the proper procedure to follow.
