By Debi Ruiz
A weed supervisor was named and Highway Superintendent Kenny Wulff provided updates on his department when members of the board of Buffalo County Commissioners met Tuesday, July 7, in the courtroom of the Buffalo County Courthouse in Gann Valley.
Derek Zastrow was appointed weed supervisor for Buffalo County. The previous salary for the weed supervisor had been $1,500.
The commissioners opted to raise the salary to $2,500.
“We are not in a position where we should count hours,” stated Chairman Lloyd Lutter. “It’s hard to take a position like that hourly. You get a lot of phone calls and discernment.”
