Members of the 911 Advisory Board met Tuesday, May 19, in the commissioners’ room of the Brule County Courthouse in Chamberlain.
In the absence of Chairman Tim Thomas, Gary Dominiack presided over the meeting.
911 Co-Coordinator Katheryn Benton noted she is still waiting on generator prices from PowerCom. She talked with Midstate Communications who has agreed to let them move equipment into their building but they cannot put the generator on it. The 911
co-coordinator said the problem is finding the generator that is going to work when it is needed to work. She said they will have to assign someone to check on the generator either monthly or bi-monthly which she says shouldn’t be an issue. The 911 co-coordinator will seek additional bids from other agencies for generators in the coming week.
