The Chamberlain city street crews began the annual process of chip sealing streets on Monday, July 27. Streets in need of chip sealing will be marked with signs posted in various locations along each identified roadway. The process is intended to fill cracks in the roadways to repair minor damages and prevent larger issues in the future. City Engineer Greg Powell notes four loads of oil will be used to cover South Main Street, Sorensen Drive and other smaller streets and alleyways. Kevin Olesen, back, handles the chip spreader while Karter Hyland, left, and Brandon Jensen prepare to offload chips onto the hot oil mix.
