Storms captures second in regional tournament, becomes top fisherman in South Dakota

Eric Storms of Chamberlain captured second place overall at the 2020 TNT Fireworks B.A.S.S. Nation Northern Regional at
Lake Vermilion, MN.
A member of the ten-man team from South Dakota, Storms was declared the highest scoring member of the team and as an individual overall. As a team, South Dakota placed fourth out of the nine participating state teams. The three-day event was held from Aug. 26 through Aug. 28.
An electrician at St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, Storms grew up in Winner. Fishing various dams around Tripp County as a child, he developed a passion for the sport that remains to this day. His introduction to competitive fishing was also made during his formative years. Finding success at a young age, Storms became the junior national champion after winning a tournament at Logan Martin Lake in Alabama.
