Area businesses and schools prepare for Coronavirus

The Coronavirus is officially in South Dakota.
The virus, formally known as COVID-19, originated in Wuhan, China, and rapidly spread across the globe. According to the Centers for Disease Control, symptoms can include fever, cough and shortness of breath.
Chamberlain School District Superintendent Dr. Deb Johnson has been in contact with the South Dakota Department of Health and is working to relay as much information about the school’s response to the outbreak as possible.
With the Coronavirus making its way through South Dakota, shortages of toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer and the like were prevalent in grocery stores and convenience businesses. At one store, toilet paper was limited to one per customer, as shown above.
