Wayne Francis Larson

Wayne Francis Larson, 82, of Anchorage, Alaska, died July 15, 2020, of natural causes in Anchorage, Alaska.
Wayne Francis Larson was born Sept. 27, 1937, at Chamberlain, SD, to Walter and Olga Larson.
He grew up on the family farm along with his sister, Virginia.
Wayne was a graduate of Pukwana High School of Pukwana, SD, and South Dakota State University of Brookings, SD, with a master of science in agriculture.
Wayne served a full career working for the Food and Drug Administration as an inspector. In 1960, his first job for the FDA was in Minneapolis, MN, for eight years, then in Chicago, Illinois, for five years.
Wayne was called to open an FDA office in Anchorage, Alaska. After three years, he moved to Seattle, WA.
Ultimately, he went back to Anchorage, Alaska, at the next opportunity and retired in 2003.
Wayne will be remembered as a kind brother and uncle.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
