The family of Wannette Wynn Wells, 49, of Bad Nation, SD, will hold a private inurnment in Montana.
Wannette Wynn Wells died Thursday, July 30, 2020, at Avera Maryhouse in Pierre, SD.
Wannette Wynn Wells was born May 31, 1971, to Patty and Wally Wells. She was one of 15 siblings.
In 1999, Wannette was married and to this union she became a mother to Michael, Devin, Tanner and Cheyenne. She was also a proud mother of three to Trevor, Rosalee and Montana.
Nothing made Wannette happier than being a mother and helping others.
Wannette’s Lakota name was Wanhenci Luta WI which translates to “Scarlet Plume Women” – “her heart bleeds for the children.”
She divorced in 2016 which broke her heart to be away from her children.
However, teaching was her career so she had many children in her life daily.
Grateful for having shared her life are her siblings, Marcia (Mush) Wells, Wanda Wells, Wendy Wells, William (Bill) Wells, Kitty Wells, Jason (Jay) Wells, Mark Wells, Adam Wells, Joseph (Joe) Wells, Luke Wells, Sarah
Wells, Timothy (Tim) Wells, April Wells and Daniel (Dan) Wells.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Patty and Wally Wells; grandparents of both paternal and maternal side; a stepfather, Wayne Evans and stepsons, Michael and Devin.
Isburg Funeral Chapel of Pierre, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
