​Funeral services for Vernell “Mick” Smith, 80, of Sioux Falls, SD, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2020, at George Boom Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, SD.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday,March 20, 2020, at George Boom Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, SD.
Vernell “Mick” Smith died Monday, March 16, 2020, at his home in Sioux Falls, SD.
Vernell “Mick” Smith was born June 19, 1939.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Peggy Smith of Sioux Falls, SD; a daughter, Shelly Engel and husband, Tim of Oacoma, SD; a son, Jeff Smith and wife, Holly of Wahoo, NE; a stepson, Paul Setterholm
and wife, Gina of Canton, SD; a stepson, A. Brant Setterholm and wife, Nichole of Sioux Falls, SD; a stepdaughter, Corali Richards and husband, Brendyn of Vermillion, SD; a stepdaughter, Janelle Essoraoui of Kissimmee, Florida; nunerous grandchildren; his sister, Janice Lee Bairey of Nevada, Iowa; brothers, Lowell “Skeet” Smith of Highmore, SD, Rod Smith and wife, Joyce of Chester, SD, and Lonnie Smith and wife, Laurie of Highmore, SD, and a host of additional relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carol Smith; a brother, Duane Smith; a daughter, Sarah Jean and a great grandson, Zyairh.
George Boom Funeral Home and On-Site Crematory of Sioux Falls, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
