Funeral services for Rianne Faith Blaine, 21, of Lower Brule, SD, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2020, at
the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.
Wake services were held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, and Thursday, July 2, 2020, at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.
Burial was at the Messiah Episcopal Cemetery of Iron Nation, SD.
Rianne Faith Blaine died June 26, 2020, at Sanford Medical Center of Chamberlain, SD, at the age of 21.
Rianne Faith Blaine was born July 11, 1998, at Chamberlain, SD, to Robert Blaine and Alvina Johnson.
She attended grade school at Lower Brule, SD, and high school at Rapid City Stevens of Rapid City, SD.
After high school, Rianne returned to the Lower Brule, SD, area where she made her home.
She loved to play volleyball, go swimming and also fishing.
She really enjoyed babysitting for her little cousins whom she treated as her own.
Grateful for having shared her life are her father, Robert F. Blaine; her foster mom and dad, Frances Mary Thompson and Deitrich Thompson; her adopted mom, Ramona Johnson; two sisters, Krista Blaine and Meredith Blaine; two brothers, Mamut Blaine and Sebastion Blaine; grandmother, Donita Johnson; aunts and uncles, Elaine Olsen, Melinda Lacota, Julie Johnson, Alvita Johnson, Arlen (Sophia Yellowboy) Johnson, Kendall (Judy LaRoche) Johnson, Sr., Kelly Holiday and Bryce Johnson; cousins, Cory Castaway, Dylan Castaway, Malcolm Andrews, Lakita Andrews, Mallory Sazue, Mya Sazue, Arnold Gene Sazue III, Jacob Lacota, Danielle Lacota,
Micah Lacota, Kyle Johnson, Ezra Johnson, Eliza Johnson, Kendall Johnson, Jr., Rylin Holiday, Jr., Adara Holiday, Kyren Johnson, Taitum Johnson and Teagan Johnson and several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alvina June Johnson; her grandfather, Alvin Johnson, Sr.; a brother, Nathan Edward Johnson; an uncle, Thomas Johnson and two cousins, Deja Jolie Sazue and Bethany Lorraine Lacota.
Hickey Funeral Chapel of Chamberlain, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
