Nancy Sharpfish

Funeral services for Nancy Sharpfish, 42, of Chamberlain, SD, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Fort Thompson, SD.
Wake services were held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Fort Thompson, SD.
Burial was at the Christ Episcopal Cemetery of Fort Thompson, SD.
Nancy Sharpfish began her journey to heaven on Jan. 23, 2020, from Sanford Hospice, where she was surrounded by her family and an abundance of love.
Nancy Sharpfish was born April 12, 1977, to Trina Walking Eagle and Jerry Sazue.
She attended elementary and middle school at Rosebud Tribal School of Rosebud, SD, and St. Joseph’s Indian School of Chamberlain, SD, where Nancy participated in cheerleading and basketball. From there, she went to Crow Creek High School of Stephan, SD, where she met and married Conrad Medicine Crow, Sr, and to their union, three boys were born.
She later succeeded in attaining her GED and worked many jobs but was always best at being a homemaker.
Nancy was a kind hearted person who tried her best to make sure everyone she crossed paths with felt loved and was taken care of.
She had a gypsy soul and could make a home anywhere she wished.
Grateful for having shared her life are her three children whom she loved “with all her heart,” her baby boys, Conrad Medicine Crow, Jr. and wife, Trista of Fort Thompson, SD, Craig Medicine Crow and wife, Carol of
Chamberlain, SD, and Jacob Medicine Crow and Daylon of El Paso, Texas; two precious granddaughters, Ciara Medicine Crow and Chasidy Medicine Crow; her only grandson, Oakley Medicine Crow; her father, Jerry Sazue, sisters; Tanya Walking Eagle, Sioux Walking Eagle, Renae Walking Eagle, Nellie Thunderhawk, Elizabeth Thunderhawk, Leslie Sazue, Hilary Sazue, Cheyenne Sazue, Tylie Sazue, Fawn Drapeau and Jessica Withhorn; brothers, Lloyd Walking Eagle, William Thunderhawk, Vincent Thunderhawk, Brandon Sazue, Jason Sazue, Brent Sazue and Jeremy Sazue and many other special relatives, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Trina Walking Eagle; her grandmother, Aggie Walking Eagle; her grandfather, Billy Sazue and her beloved brother, Stanley Craig Walking Eagle.
Hickey Funeral Chapel of Chamberlain, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
