Helen B. Ingle

Helen B. Ingle, 108, died peacefully Aug. 23, 2020, at her residence in Greeley Place of Greeley, CO.
Helen B. Ingle was born June 5, 1912, at Chamberlain, SD, to Elizabeth and Arthur Burkholder.
She was raised in Chamberlain, SD. She graduated from college in 1934 during the height of the Great Depression. She moved to Washington, D.C., in 1935 and worked as an accountant for the United States Navy Department until her retirement.
She married Slayton “Cub” Ingle in 1949 and they lived in Rockville, Maryland. When they retired, they moved to Lusby, Maryland, located near the Chesapeake Bay.
She moved to Sioux Falls, SD, to be near her sister in 2005. She and her sister moved to Greeley Place in Greeley, CO, to be near family in 2010.
Helen loved to travel and traveled with family and friends in the United States, Europe, Mexico, South America, Africa and Asia.
She enjoyed doing needlework and made many beautiful gifts for family and friends.
While she lived in Greeley Place, her favorite outing in the evening was playing bingo with the other residents.
Grateful for having shared her life are a niece by marriage, Norma Wick; great nieces, Wendy Petersen and Aimee Hutson and husband, Robert; a great nephew, Warren Wick and wife, Caryn and great great nieces and nephews, Kelsey Hutson, John Hutson and wife, Marisa, Colin Petersen and Sebastian Wick and a great great great nephew, Carson Hutson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Slayton “Cub” Ingle; her parents, Elizabeth and Arthur Burkholder; a sister, Mary Wick and a nephew, Robert Wick.
