A celebration of life for Georgia Lynn Simpson, 68, of Chamberlain, SD, will be held at a later date.
Georgia Lynn Simpson died July 29, 2020, at home in Chamberlain, SD, surrounded by her family, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Georgia Lynn Simpson was born April 15, 1952, at Murdo, SD, to Lyle and Evelynn (Bruce) Steinfeld.
She was united in marriage to Randall Simpson on June 8, 1969. To this marriage, five children were born, Rochelle, Renae, Ron, Mandy and Cary.
Randall and Georgia made their home in Oacoma, SD.
Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and doing anything with or for her grandkids.
Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
She was also the matriarch of a long line of children and grandchildren who share her stubborn attitude, strong work ethic and determination.
Georgia spent most of her life managing hotels, produce or kids.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Randy Simpson; her children, Rochelle Hopkins, Renae Orth, Ron Simpson, Mandy Unger and Cary Dunn; her children-in-law, Suzanne McKenna, Todd Orth, Charles
Hopkins, Nate Unger and Paul Dunn, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Evelynn Steinfeld and a brother, John Steinfeld.
Hickey Funeral Chapel of Chamberlain, SD, will be in charge of arrangements.
