Gary Ray Krell went to be with the Lord unexpectedly, dying at home at Four Corners, WY, in the early morning of March 29, 2020.
Gary Ray Krell was born July 30, 1951, at Mitchell, SD, to Edwin and Mary Lou (Beckman) Krell.
He attended Plankinton, SD, schools and graduated with the class of 1969.
He furthered his education by driving semi-trucks for Krell Trucking.
On Nov. 9, 1974, he was in the Black Hills “deer” hunting and met Bev Pzinski at the Flying V. From that point, he was a “dear” hunter.
On June 5, 1976, Gary and Bev were married in Newcastle, WY. They lived in Mitchell, SD, Plankinton, SD, and Gann Valley, SD, before moving to Wyoming in 1982. They welcomed three children, Ty, Tandi and Tara.
Gary was a simple – straight to the point – man of few words.
He was at “home” on the ranch, in the roping arena, at a neighbor’s branding, at a rodeo, watching almost any sport, at a sale barn or at special gatherings. He was always the life of the party and you could always catch him on the dance floor, especially when “YMCA” came on. He would never turn down the chance to jitterbug.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and many roping associations through the years.
He was most recently employed by Belle Fourche Livestock Market of Belle Fourche, SD, as a fieldman.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife of 441/2 years, Bev Krell of Four Corners, WY; a son, Ty Krell and wife, Jenny of Four Corners, WY; a daughter, Tandi Croghan and husband, Jason of Rapid City, SD; a daughter, Tara Sayaloune and husband, Tav of Chadron, NE; grandchildren, Jake Krell, Hadlee Krell, Camree Croghan, Keeton Croghan, Taverra Sayaloune and Destinh Sayaloune; his father, Ed Krell of Plankinton, SD; a sister, Cindy Hine and husband, Bob of Wessington Springs, SD; a brother, Mike Krell and wife, Mary of Plankinton, SD; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Lunney and husband, Bill of Newcastle, WY, and Janet Hall and husband, Bob of Langdon, ND, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Krell; his grandparents, Beckman and Krell; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Judy and Ed Pzinski and grandparents, Pzinski and Lissolo.
