Gail Booth
July 31, 1948 - April 14, 2020

Gail Booth died April 14, 2020, at Avera Mary House in Pierre, SD, after a short but hard-fought battle with cancer.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral services.
Gail Booth was born July 31, 1948, at Mitchell, SD, to Leo and Evelyn (Selland) Booth.
He attended Haywood Country School, then moved with his family to farm near Vivian, SD. He graduated from Vivian High School of Vivian,
SD, in l966 and Northern State College of Aberdeen, SD, in l970.
After Leo’s death in 1969, Gail took over the ranching and farming operation.
Gail raised his two sons. He was an excellent father and grandfather. He attended all his sons’ games of baseball, basketball, football and track as well as his grandsons’ baseball and hockey games. He loved spending time with his four grandchildren.
Gail was a member of the Vivian Lutheran Church of Vivian, SD. He was always willing to volunteer and help with various community projects in Vivian, SD. He was known to often lend a helping hand to neighbors.
Gail liked to tease and then grin and grin. Gail enjoyed all sports but especially basketball. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards. He took several fishing and hunting trips to Canada with his sons and a group of friends.
Grateful for having shared his life are a son, Loren Booth of Vivian, SD, and his wife, Stephanie and their son, Holden and Loren’s son, Tristan Lake; a son, Adam Booth of Casper, WY, and his wife, Angela and their daughters, Aleigha and Anika; a sister, Janet Hurst of Lakeville, MN, and her husband, Russ; a sister, Brenda Booth of Vivian, SD; a sister-in-law, Colleen Booth of Vivian, SD, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Evelyn Booth and a brother, Calvin Booth.
Isburg Funeral Home of Pierre, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
