Earl Lee Bolls
February 28, 1944 – August 21, 2020

A private family celebration for Earl Lee Bolls, 76, will be held in Kansas on Aug. 29, 2020.
A public celebration of life will be held in Nebraska at a later date.
Earl Lee Bolls died peacefully at his daughter’s home on Friday, Aug. 21, 2020.
Earl Lee Bolls was born Feb. 28, 1944, at Onaga, Kansas, to Ruby Lee (Foote) Bolls and Nathion J. Bolls.
He graduated from Onaga High School of Onaga, Kansas.
Earl spent many hours fishing and hunting while growing up in Onaga, Kansas. He often said no one had a better childhood than he did.
As an adult, Earl entered into a 19-year marriage, which produced one child, his daughter, Wendy.
He spent several years repairing small machinery for Goodenough’s in Beatrice, NE, and at his own business, Earl’s Typewriter Repair. After that, he worked across the Midwest at several meat packing/processing plants as an engineer. When he retired from Dakota Provisions, he became a private contractor and did that for a few years.
Second only to his grandchildren, Earl’s passion was building and fixing his many Harley Davidson motorcycles. Earl has never lived in a home as an adult where there hasn’t been a Harley in some stage of being built either in the dining room, bathroom, basement or kitchen. At the time of his death, he owned five Harleys and had enough motorcycle parts to make a few more.
He also loved El Caminos and owned three of them and he had finally found a car he dreamt of for many years, a ’62 Impala. Earl loved to take the Impala to a sunny spot in the last town he lived in, Chamberlain, SD, and “take a nap in the sun.”
Earl will be missed by his family and his many brothers and sisters from the Genesis M.C.
Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Wendy (Bolls) Kahland and husband, Martin, Sr. and their children, Haley Graupner, Martin Kahland, Jr. and Nathan Kahland; a brother, Dr. Nathan J. Bolls; a sister,
Anna (Bolls) Stephenson and husband, Jack; a niece, Cindy Smith; a nephew, Robb Stephenson and wife, Carla; a nephew, James Stephenson and three great nieces, Chelsea, Stephanie and Brandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lee and Nathion J. Bolls; a sister-in-law, Imogene Bolls; a niece, Laurel Bolls and a nephew, Jon Stephenson.
The Nebraska Cremation Society of Wahoo, NE, was in charge of arangements.
