Funeral services for Danielle (Danni) Michelle Pickner, 26, of Chamberlain, SD, were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at the Pukwana Lutheran Church of Pukwana, SD.
Visitation began at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at the Pukwana Lutheran Church of Pukwana, SD.
Danielle (Danni) Michelle Pickner died Sunday morning, Aug. 2, 2020, at her home in Chamberlain, SD.
Danielle (Danni) Michelle Pickner was born Feb. 8, 1994, to Kellie and Rollie Pickner.
She lived at home until she was 11 with her mom and her two sisters in White Lake, SD. At that point, she moved to the Children’s Hospital and School in Sioux Falls, SD. She was there for five years. When she was 16, she was moved to Dakota Milestones in Chamberlain, SD. She was there for the remainder of her life.
She was a miracle baby. The doctors didn’t think she would live past one.
She proved everyone wrong. She was a fighter and loved to prove people wrong.
You could change her mood within seconds of playing with her hair.
At 26, Danielle was the most stubborn and strongest woman her mother had ever met.
She absolutely loved listening to music. She didn’t care what kind of music. As long as it was playing, she was content.
Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Kellie Pickner and Don Galpin; her father, Rollie Pickner; her grandmothers, Joyace Ommen and Wanda Pickner; a sister and brother-in-law, Alyson Lynch and Chris Lynch and their three children, Jeremiah, Jazmine and Jackson; her sister and fiance’, Tessa Anderson and Dalton Robol; two brothers, DJ Galpin and Brian Anderson and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by Papa Russ Ommen, Great Grandma and Grandpa Smith, Jaylah Berens, Grandpa Lawrence Pickner, Pam Pickner, Monte Pickner and Landon Pickner.
Hickey Funeral Chapel of Chamberlain, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
