Dana L. Douville died July 2, 2020, at Sanford Medical Center of Chamberlain, SD.
Dana L. Douville was born Aug. 16, 1946, at Chamberlain, SD, to Vern L. and Helen E. (Willrich) Douville.
He attended Chamberlain High School of Chamberlain, SD, graduating in 1964. He furthered his education at
Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, SD, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Dana also served in the National Guard from 1966 to 1976.
On Sept. 3, 1977, Dana was united in marriage to Carole Geppert in Reno, Nevada. They made their home in Reno, Nevada, where he worked for Bonanza Produce for 29 years.
In 2005, they moved back to Chamberlain, SD, where Dana worked for Al’s Oasis.
Dana enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and gardening while also helping with canning.
He was an all around handyman who was great to have around.
In his younger years, Dana was a great baseball player.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Carole Douville of Chamberlain, SD; twin sister, Dianna Schilling of Ft. Pierre, SD; Lori Houska and husband, Mike of Bloomfield, NE, and Sally Steinfeld of Oacoma, SD;
stepchildren, Carolyn Cooper of Reno, Nevada, Alan Geppert of Reno, Nevada, Jim Geppert of Reno, Nevada, Cindy Myers of Oacoma, SD, and Brenda Burull of Chamberlain, SD, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Vern Douville and brothers-in-law, John Steinfeld and Vince Schilling.
