Funeral services for Cindy Rae Faini, 55, of Sioux Falls, SD, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 West 26th Street in Sioux Falls, SD, with Father Jordan Samson officiating.
Visitation was held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1501 West 26th Street in Sioux Falls, SD. Wake and rosary services began at 6 p.m. with Deacon Jim Boorman conducting the services.
Burial was at Riverview Cemetery of Chamberlain, SD.
Cindy Rae Faini died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at Avera McKennan Hospital of Sioux Falls, SD.
Cindy Rae Faini was born Dec. 12, 1964, at Mitchell, SD, to Raymond and Dorothy Stemmerman.
She grew up on the family farm with her five siblings in Pukwana, SD.
She attended the South Dakota School For The Deaf in Sioux Falls, SD,
and graduated in 1983.
During her time at the School For The Deaf, Cindy was involved in basketball and volleyball teams as well as being a cheerleader. She was also a member of the Junior National Association For The Deaf.
Cindy has and continues to be remembered by her fellow classmates as “so sweet and so funny.”
Cindy enjoyed playing games, reading, playing snapchat games with friends and their kids, watching movies and going to the Deaf Center.
She was also a proud member of the South Dakota Association Of The Deaf.
She worked at several places naming Citibank, Dakota News and Macy’s.
Cindy also enjoyed volunteering of her time at South Dakota Parent Connection.
Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons, Justin Faini and wife, Caramie and Victor Faini and wife, Heather; a daughter, Maria Faini; her siblings, Ruth Hanson, Avis Bahm, Joyce Leheska and husband, Joe and Rene Koepsell and husband, Marlon; her grandchildren, Lucy, Atticus, Oliver and Evelyn and several nieces and nephews.
Kober Funeral Home of Vermillion, SD, was in charge of arrangements.
